Bad-News interviews

Why this training?

Do you also find it difficult to bring bad news? What is useful to tell and what isn’t? How to remain professional and to pass a clear message?

Bringing bad news is unpleasant enough as it is. Structured interview conducting prevents any way that it is going to be even worse for the receiver of the bad news. The message you are about to bring is unpleasant, which makes it also difficult for you as the messenger. The strength of a good bad-news interview is to be able to have an empathic understanding of the receiver of the news and at the same time show professional behaviour. During the training we teach how to hold on to the structure of a bad-news interview.

In spite of the fact that telling bad news is often not pleasant, you are surer during this interview. You will apply structure, where you can adhere to during this interview. You know how to prepare the interview properly and in which way you are going to bring the bad news.

You are capable to bring the message in a just and clear manner and to absorb the reaction of the other in a professional way. Subsequently you know how to make agreements together and which (if necessary) follow-up steps to take.
